COFES 2010 (Day 3) – Keynote

The Day 3 keynote was delivered by Bo Burlingham, the editor-at-large of Inc. magazine and chairman of the Small Giants Community, a collection of small companies that strive to become big in ways other than just attaining big numbers. Bo’s book titled “Small Giants: Companies That Choose to be Great Instead of Big” was one of five finalists for the 2006 Financial Times/Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year award.

Each COFES attendee was given a chance to choose between one of two book written by Bo. I picked the Small Giants one. Looks like I will read it on my way back to India. That is if I can manage to find myself a seat on a plane in the first place. I just got news that my flight through Amsterdam has been canceled thanks to the mess that volcano in Iceland has created. I am trying to fly across the Pacific through Hong Kong. If I succeed that will make this a truly round the world trip.
