News Alert – Get Inventor For Half Price

I just received a marketing email from the Indian Autodesk distributor announcing that if you purchase a license of Inventor you can get 50% off on a second license. Of course, there is a “terms and conditions apply” tied to the offer. Not sure what they are. Maybe you need to purchase a subscription as well.

This is besides the up to 50% discount on upgrades I mentioned earlier today. Looks like Autodesk is in a heavy discounting mood.

Personally, I feel that branding Inventor as AutoCAD Inventor (see box shot above) is probably not a very good idea. I know that this is a suite that contains both products. However, it seems like you are buying AutoCAD and getting Inventor along with it and not the other way around. But then I guess it has been working for Autodesk.
