Round Tripping Between CATIA V5 And V6 With Features

Here is the video I mentioned in my earlier post. It shows two round trips between CATIA V5 and V6. In the first one a conceptual change is made in V6 and it shows up in V5 as a dumb solid, which is then edited and sent back to V6. In this case the V6 representation is replaced by the V5 one. This is the way the software currently works.

In the second round trip the model is packaged with “specifications” (read features) in V6 and sent to V5, where they are edited and sent back to V6. This is how it will work in CATIA V6R2012x and later.
