3D Printed Face Shield

If you’re a healthcare facility in need of face shields, 3D Systems has just released a downloadable 3D file that includes data for full face shields, including screen cutting. This file enables face shields to be printed locally on any Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printer, using medical-grade nylon that is autoclavable and compatible with disinfectant cleaners. The nice thing about this design is that it’s made up of two parts. One part is strapped to the head and the second part holds the sheet and snap fits into the first. This way the shield can be quickly replaced with a new one.

In addition, our On Demand facilities worldwide are available to help with printing or the supply of the face shield components including screens. The file is optimized for high-density manufacturing which enables up to 500 straps to be produced in a day.
