How to Open and Save CATIA files in AutoCAD and SolidWorks?

Today SYCODE released four plug-ins for AutoCAD and SolidWorks which export CATIA V4 and V5 files. So along with the similar import plug-ins, AutoCAD and SolidWorks user can now do a complete round trip of 3D data from CATIA V4 and V5.

Many Tier 2 and Tier 3 supplier companies maintain a seat of CATIA just so that they can accept data from OEM’s using CATIA and send them back the data (if necessary) in CATIA format. Moreover some CATIA customers insist that suppliers send them 3D data in the native CATIA format only. The CATIA data exchange plug-ins offered by SYCODE do not need a CATIA license to be installed on the computer or network. Moreover the CATIA V5 plug-ins use authentic CATIA libraries licensed from Dassault Systemes. So the translation quality and accuracy is the second to none.

The eight AutoCAD and SolidWorks plug-ins are

CATIA V4 Import for AutoCAD
CATIA V5 Import for AutoCAD
CATIA V4 Import for SolidWorks
CATIA V5 Import for SolidWorks

CATIA V4 Export for AutoCAD
CATIA V5 Export for AutoCAD
CATIA V4 Export for SolidWorks

The last four which complete the CATIA roundrip for AutoCAD and SolidWorks were released today. You can read the full press release here.
