3D Systems India and NCAM Sign MOU to Promote Additive Manufacturing in India
On the sidelines of the “National Conference on 3D Printing in Medical Devices and Implants” held in Hyderabad, 3D Systems India and National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM) signed a MOU to promote and increase the adoption of Additive Manufacturing in India. NCAM is an independent entity set up by the Government of Telangana and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
The MOU was signed by Mr Deelip Menezes, Managing Director of 3D Systems India and Mr Jaspreet Sidhu, CEO NCAM in the presence of the Honourable Minister for ITE&C, Industries and MA&UD, Sri K T Rama Rao along with Ms Michelle Wade, Commissioner – South Asia at Global Victoria, State Government of Victoria, Australia, Mr Jayesh Ranjan IAS, Principal Secretary, ITE&C and Industries and Smt Rama Devi Lanka, CIO NCAM, Director Emerging Technologies Wing and OSD, ITE&C Department.
As part of the conference, Deelip Menezes participated in a panel discussion on “Emerging Trends in Additive Manufacturing for Healthcare and Opportunity for India” where he expressed his views on patient-matching implants 3D printed in Titanium and PEEK as well as the interesting applications of bioprinting.
