A Couple Of Acquisitions
Today seems to be a day of acquisitions. First there was this Autodesk press release announcing the acquisition of certain assets of Inforbix, the company co-founded by my good friend Oleg Shilovitsky. The Inforbix web site has this interesting notice on it today.
Autodesk has acquired the technology of Inforbix. More information is available on the Autodesk Press Release, found here . You are welcome to navigate this site, but please be aware that all Inforbix products and services are no longer available. For information about the Autodesk PLM360 product, visit their website at: autodeskplm360.com
Oleg will join Autodesk as Senior Director of PLM and Data Management. Previously, while at Dassault Systemes, he was the CTO of ENOVIA SmarTeam. Of late he has been involved in the distribution and development of Autodesk based software in Israel.
I remember meeting Anatoly Savin, the other co-founder of Inforbix during my visit to Moscow. Anatoly is the technical brain behind Inforbix and has previously worked at IBM and Oracle. Interestingly, the Autodesk press release has no mention of Anatoly.
A few minutes ago I got this email from another good friend Peter Harman of Delta Theta.
I’m pleased to inform you that deltatheta is now part of CyDesign Labs of Palo Alto, California. I will be the Director of Technology for the combined entity, working from CyDesign Ltd. in the UK.
The deltatheta product suite including ModelicaSDK, Vertex, and Converge will become part of the CyDesign solution offering. CyDesign will be discussing and previewing at next week’s Modelica Conference in Munich, our web-based requirements and simulation environment based, in part, on deltatheta technologies.
My heartiest congratulations to both my friends. I wish you the very best.
